Roland Seeks SW District Sales Manager

Roland Corporation U.S. has an exciting opportunity for a District Sales Manager for the SW territory, representing Roland and BOSS products within the MI channel.

As the first point of contact to assigned dealers in the Southwest US territory (NM, AZ, OK, UT, TX region), the District Sales Manager provides valuable resources in support of Roland’s products, strategy, and objectives to the dealers. The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for accurate analysis of market-by-market territorial sales potential, establishing distribution for all product groups, developing the Roland Dealer’s business, monitoring sales results, and meeting company established individual sales budgets and objectives. The DSM will train retail salespeople, assist with product merchandising and retail sales promotions, and help retailers develop and implement Roland Sales Programs as requested and approved by Roland Musical Instrument’s (MI) management.

This position reports to the Roland US Regional Sales Manager. Retail and wholesale Musical Instruments Business experience is preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Submit timely and accurate written reports (possibly including, but not limited to, dealer reports, bi-monthly market reports, sales forecast reports and travel itineraries) as requested by VP Sales.

2. Achieve monthly sales budgets.

3. Achieve marketing and sales objectives (Examples: tracking of new dealer activity, channel strategy goals, display implementation, dealer feedback, etc.) as assigned.

4. Maintain current credit accounts with dealers, assist in the collection of past-due money, and obtain current financial information from dealers as requested. 

5. Visit existing and competitive dealers on a regular schedule and conduct all business activity within the framework of Roland and BOSS marketing philosophies. Travel should include an appropriate amount of dealer, promotional, training, and prospect visits as directed by the RSM.
