Deering Benefit Concert on Star of India

MMR • Supplier Scene • March 12, 2015

Sail aboard the world's oldest active sailing ship, and a national historical landmark to celebrate 40 years of crafting American made banjos in San Diego! Deering Banjos is proud to be partnering with the San Diego Music Foundation to bring about this celebration. Proceeds from this event will go to music in the schools programs around San Diego County.

It is a rare occurrence to have a public concert aboard the Star of India. Deering is thrilled to bring the Kruger Brothers back to San Diego to headline for this memorable night.

The celebration will take place on Saturday, July 18th, 2015, 7pm-11pm. The Star of India will stay docked for this event, with a view of the summer sunset over the bay, so no need to bring your sea legs. For more details of this event and to purchase tickets head here

The night will begin with a reception featuring San Diego musicians performing acoustically at various locations around the ship and nohost bars. There will be a Silent Auction of local products with proceeds going to San Diego Music Foundation to contribute to the continuation of Music in Schools Programs. And as an added bonus, donations made on winning bids are tax deductible.
