Yamaha’s Audio division has had a reshuffle, with long-serving Karl Christmas moving to the firm’s R&D offshoot in London, while Terry Murphy (left) steps up to sales manager for Yamaha Music Europe in the UK and RoI.
Christmas first joined the company in 1988 and will now take on a new role in Yamaha’s Global Pro Audio Technical Marketing Group, based at the company’s R&D Centre in London, which will see him supporting the expansion of Yamaha’s Commercial Installation System (CIS) business around the world.
“Karl is uniquely qualified for this new position in an important segment for Yamaha’s future business growth. I would like to thank him for all he has done for us and wish him every success in his new role,” said Nils-Peter Keller, marketing director, Pro Audio at Yamaha Music Europe.
Terry Murphy (pictured) joined Yamaha’s electronic keyboard division in 2009 before becoming Southern UK and RoI sales representative at Yamaha Commercial Audio last year. His promotion will see him expand his remit to overall sales management of the UK and RoI.
“Karl is leaving big shoes to fill, but Terry is an outstanding replacement.
