Trade Regrets: Owen McPeek

Christian Wissmuller • Trade Regrets • August 19, 2016

Owen McPeek passed away on August 11th. Beginning in the late’60s, McPeek managed Rush’s Music in Knoxville, Tennessee for over a decade.

At the time, Rush’s was a full-line MI retail operation that was notable for providing pro-audio gear to area musicians.

After moving south to pursue jazz performance opportunities, Owen established the local chapter of the musician’s union in Mississippi.
