Kyser to Begin Minimum Advertised Price Program

Christian Wissmuller • Supplier Scene • May 17, 2017

Starting on July 17, 2017,  Kyser Musical Products, Inc. will begin to enforce a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Program in the United States to discourage potentially detrimental price-based advertising in print and online.

The MAP for all Kyser Quick-Change capos will be $17.95 each. MSRP will remain at $24.95 each. This MAP Program will be enforced by using 3rd party monitoring software and an in-house monitoring team.

Kyser hopes to protect the current musical instrument business model by preserving distributor’s prices while also allowing dealers to maintain or increase their margin on this quality accessory.
