Excelcia Music Publishing Launched

Christian Wissmuller • Upfront • July 11, 2018

New publisher, Excelcia Music Publishing, will deliver the highest-quality school performance music for band, orchestra and school choral, as well as cutting edge methods and teacher resources.

With longtime music educator, composer, author and publisher Larry Clark at the helm, Excelcia Music Publishing is uniquely positioned to link today’s composers with today’s directors and their ensembles, and thereby publish the music and resources educators need to guide their students to the next levels of success.

β€œIt has been a dream of mine to create a company that publishes artistic, high-quality music by composers that are sensitive to the needs and educational aspirations of students,” explains industry veteran Larry Clark. β€œOur mission is to give unparalleled support to composers, and to create professional, meticulously edited music that directors, ensembles and audiences will truly enjoy.  We will provide real tools and assistance to educators, including professional recordings, technological advances and unprecedented composer access.  We are creating a new and truly different model and are excited to explore all types of ventures to meet the needs of today.  Plus, the students are going to love it.”

As an award-winning composer, author and publisher for band and orchestra, Clark creates Excelcia Music Publishing after 18 years as the vice president, editor-in-chief at Carl Fischer Music.  With thousands of clinics under his belt, Clark has first-hand experience and understanding of what works with students. He was mentored in the publishing business by industry icon Sandy Feldstein.

Excelcia Music Publishing is based in Lakeland, Florida, and will publish and sell music internationally. Composers, educators and retailers are invited to contact Excelcia Music Publishing to be a part of creating, learning and performing music that excels.
