D’Addario & Company Looking for a Regional Sales Manager in Africa/Middle East

D’Addario & Company is looking for a Regional Sales Manager based in Dubai, or nearby areas served by an international airport, to cover markets in Africa and the Middle East.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to grow revenue, increase market share, and generate greater overall brand awareness and brand equity of D’Addario’s portfolio of musical instrument accessories in the designated geographic region.  This person will work directly and very closely with our authorized distributors in the region with the goal of expanding our market share by identifying challenges and opportunities and working in conjunction with the distributors to implement sales and marketing strategy and tactics.  This person will liaison with our corporate headquarters in the United States, reporting directly to the Vice President, International Business Development.  

Responsibilities:

• Develop specific D’Addario product promotions for musicians, music retailers, and authorized distributors.

• Collaborate with distributors to localize and implement marketing strategies.

• Provide ongoing training for our distributors and retailers on our products.

• Attend tradeshows and sales meetings as required.

• Interact with market influencers such as rehearsal and teaching studios, colleges and universities, music professors and teachers in order to stimulate demand and facilitate achievement of sales targets.

• Work closely with distributors in an effort to achieve or surpass sales targets, making sure we are receiving a regular flow of orders and taking every opportunity to grow our sales while preserving margins.

• Assist in the execution and administration of all sales and marketing activities, in concert with appropriate corporate department heads.

 

Qualifications:  

• Strong command and fluency in English required. 

• Knowledge of Arabic language a plus.

• Command and fluency in other native territory language(s) a plus.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience. 

• Music industry, music retail or music education experience desired.

• Confident interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to build relationships.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to organize projects and manage timelines with a strong attention to detail.

• Comfortable with computers and social media / web interaction.

• Entrepreneurial spirit 

• Self-Management capabilities.

• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
