Michael Kelly Guitars Kickstarter Goal Complete in 48 Hours

The Michael Kelly Guitars Kickstarter campaign for the company’s new line of ultra lightweight guitars has been fully funded two times over in less than 48 hours.

After the initial goal set by the company was funded in under five hours, Michael Kelly Guitars doubled their goal, which has since been met in less than two days. Because of the rapid donations to the Kickstater campaign, Michael Kelly Guitars can move forward with the production of the Enlightened Series earlier than anticipated.  

“For a long time, members of our community of players have been asking for a lighter weight instrument that didn’t sacrifice tone or style,” explains Michael Kelly’s founder, Tracy Hoeft. “We spent two years researching how we could fill this need in a way that made us proud to put our logo on the headstock. We are stoked about the result and are proud to introduce the Enlightened Series to our players and the Kickstarter community.”

Michael Kelly Guitars initially chose to introduce the new line of guitars on Kickstarter as a way to broaden their audience and see how many people were interested in the ultra lightweight guitars. The campaign will run through April 20.
