Ted Baker SoHo Installs Ashly Amps

Christian Wissmuller • Supplier Scene • March 31, 2017

A Ted Baker store in the SoHo district of New York City has installed an Ashly nX4004 four-channel amplifier and an Ashly KLR-2000 amplifier into the location to complement the store’s art gallery collaboration with Pop International Galleries.

To select a quality sound system that would be best for the new location, Ted Baker hired New Jersey-based A/V integration firm Essential Communications, who chose to install two Ashly amplifiers at the SoHo store.

The Ashly nX4004 four-channel multi-mode amplifier has the ability to deliver 400W per channel to the distributed Community v2-6t loudspeakers, while the two-channel Ashly KLR-2000 can deliver 1,000W per channel to a pair of Electro-Voice® EVid12.1W subwoofers.

“Ted Baker stores have a cool, retro feel, and high-quality audio is a priority for them,” explained David Schwartz, principal at Essential Communications. “We turn to Ashly amps in situations like this because the audio quality meets Ted Baker’s expectations and the gear is rock solid. We’ve been installing Ashly amps all over the country, and we’ve had zero problems with them. They work out of the box and keep working long after we’ve turned things over to the client. When we’re designing a system and characteristically trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, the tech support at Ashly always has a solution. They know us by name, and I know them by their names. Ashly is a great size: big enough to deal in volume and yet small enough to really know people personally. In a nutshell, Ashly is competent but humble – they’re doing everything right.”
