Audio Associates has replaced the USS Constitution’s outdated loudspeakers with nine new Danley Sound Labs GO-2-8CX loudspeakers, three to a mast.
Audio Associates had installed the previous speakers years ago, but they had been worn down by time and the elements.
The ship, which was built in 1794 and named by George Washington, saw the War of 1812 and is still an active-duty ship in the US Navy. In 2015, the ship went into a dry dock for restoration. The speakers are American-made, built in Georgia and North Carolina.
