The 2018 VandoJam at NAMM showcased the breadth of Vandoren’s artist roster by featuring artists from all across the United States.

In the opening star-set, L.A. regulars Jerry Vivino and Eric Marienthal were joined by special guest Chris Madsen from Chicago, Illinois. Each musician fronted a quartet for one tune before joining to form a sextet, backed by a top-shelf LA rhythm section. The open jam session followed, providing visiting musicians on a variety of instruments the chance to sit in with the stars. New York City’s Felix Peikli and his Showtime Band closed the night playing arrangements of tunes made famous during America’s Swing Era.

“This year’s VandoJam at NAMM had a unique feel,” said Vandoren brand manager Michael Fenoglio. “Having such an array of artists from different backgrounds brought great variety to the featured sets, and the jam was particularly interesting with many new faces and instruments. In many ways, I think this was one of our most musically interesting VandoJams to date!”
