Ibanez’s New Altstar Series of Acoustic Guitars

Ibanez’s new Altstar series of acoustic guitars come equipped with an Ibanez AEQ2UT on-board preamp and an onboard tuner, making it more than capable in a live performance situation.  Every Altstar has a Spruce top, Sapele back and sides, and a Maple neck topped with a Laurel fingerboard, combining to generate a bright and present tone. The body is significantly more compact than a typical acoustic, yet the guitar still retains a full 25.5” scale length. The neck also has narrower string spacing and meets the body at the 16^th fret rather than the 12^th, providing significantly better upper fret access over most other acoustic designs.
