New Nord from Sound Technology

Sound Technology has launched the latest range of three Nord Stage keyboards in the UK.

The Nord Stage 2 EX 88 and Stage 2 EX HP76 are available now, while the Nord Stage 2 Compact EX model will arrive later this month (June). 

The Stage 2 EX series updates the award winning Nord Stage 2 instrument line with 1GB of memory for the Nord Piano Library and a new ultra lightweight Hammer Action Portable HP76 model. The sound bank features five grand pianos, seven upright pianos , 11 Electric Pianos, Clavinet, and an improved harpsichords Nord Sample Library selection Including new strings, choir and folk Instruments.

The range comprises of three models – the Nord Stage 2 88 EX features the top-of-the-line Fully Weighted Hammer Action Keybed (CC) and weighs 18.5 kg; the Nord Stage EX 2 HP76 has an extremely lightweight Hammer Action Portable keybed (EC), as used in the Electro 3/4 HP and Piano 2 HP, weighing only 12 kg and the  Stage EX 2 Compact features a 73-note Semi Weighted Waterfall keyboard (EE) weighing 9.7 kg.

Apart from the keyboard type and the number of accessories available, all three models have identical features.

Prices are – Nord Stage EX 88 2 – £ 3,099 RRP inc VAT;  Nord Stage EX 2 HP76 – £ 2,899 RRP inc VAT and Nord Stage EX Compact 2 – £ 2,649 RRP inc VAT.
