RETAIL HACKS: Label with love

Ronnie Dungan • MMR Global • June 19, 2015

In the first of a new series (that very much depends on your response by the way) retailers send us their everyday shortcuts that help their shops function better and make life just that little bit easier…

First up is Phil Nixon, managing director of the UK’s leading specialist bass centre, Bass Gear in Reading. He has a little thing he does with the labels on his stock to make life easier for his sales staff.

“A tiny thing that is helping us is our new price labels that we tie on to our products that are on display in the showroom,” he says.

“We have three tick boxes at the bottom to give the sales person an at-a-glance knowledge as to the instrument’s ownership. These are ‘New’, ‘Pre-owned Stock’ and ‘Pre-owned Comm’. Quite simply, it helps us know if there is room for manoeuvre on price.”

Got any Retail Hacks you would like to share with us? Everyone has a unique way of doing things, so what little shortcuts do you apply to your store management? Let us know. Email [email protected]
