Jon Parkinson from Taunton woodwind and brass specialist John Packer Ltd says making the most of your more valuable display space can be a real sales driver.

The store has been serving its local jazz and classical community for over 30 years and offers a service that includes repairs, access to teaching, a well established online offering and educational sales and hire.

He advises: “Not all your display space has the same value to you. It’s oft thought convenient/necessary to have all similar products together. Generally that’s right, but the prime display real estate is the first display your customer sees when they walk in the door. Got a special offer? A new product to show? An event you want to push? Put it right there so they cannot miss it.”
