SOCIAL MEDIA 101: Measure for measure

Our continuing series of social media tips from Fastflash Media continues with a quick and easy way to find out what content is getting the most attention and from whom?

There are any number of great sites out there that can help make your social media strategy a much more sophisticated and scientific tool for your business. One of the key compenents of that strategy is measuring what does and doesn’t work on your site.

Go to a site like Buzzsumo put in your URL and it will show you what is the most popular shared content from your site, on what platform it is being shared and, crucially, who is sharing it. Once you know that you can tailor your content accordingly, or at least adjust how you present it, and you can even see which of your sharers has the most followers and maybe use that information intelligently. Perhaps even contact your most enthusiastic sharers and thank them, increasing engagement, and possibly ensuring that they continue to share all your great stuff.
