Gibson predicts ‘best year ever’ for new range

Ronnie Dungan • MMR Global • November 6, 2015

Gibson is confidently boasting that it will launch its best line-up of guitars ever next year and has added two new ranges – Traditional (T) and High Performance (HP).

The Traditional is inspired by the 1950s, with classic tone woods, vintage-voiced pickups, traditionally shaped necks and classic tuners, while The High Performance line takes classic Gibson instrument designs with added enhancements including the fast-access neck heel (making it easier to comfortably reach the highest frets), the G FORCE Tuning system for instantly tuning your guitar or recalling preset alternate tunings, a Soloist neck and fingerboard, titanium saddles, Zero Fret Adjustable Nut and more.

The Gibson Les Paul Standard 2016 T comes in a choice of a skilfully carved plain (non-translucent colors) or AAA figured maple top. It features a mahogany back and neck, Burstbucker Pro pickups with coil-splitting capabilities, locking tuning machines, and neck and body binding.

The HP models  boast the  fast-access neck heel, G-Force electronic tuning; gold-plated multi-contact output jack; more robust internal wiring; titanium saddles and noiseless toggle switches.
