US effects pedal brand Pigtronix has released two new versions of its Echolution 2 delay pedals.
Combining analogue and digital processing, Echolution 2 uses 100% analog Class-A discrete transistors as well as non-linear tape emulator stage and filters. Designed to work with both line level and and instrument sources, with high headroom yet low noise operation, the Echolution 2 also sports stereo inputs and outputs and an all analogue dry signal path.
Additionally, the firmware for the Echolution 2 series has been upgraded with pitch shifting capabilities and a new PC/MAC application to support the sound design potential of the pedal. The new firmware is free and compatible with all versions of the Echolution 2 pedal.
The PXE2U Echolution 2 Ultra Pro (UK RRP £499) is a multi-tap stereo modulation delay that features a wide array of customisable filter, LFO and pitch-shifting options, along with expression pedal and envelope control of each knob, and MIDI control of every function.
David Koltai, founder and president of Pigtronix, said: “This is the finest-sounding and most fully featured pedal we have ever made…by far!”
Meanwhile the Pigtronix PXE2F Echolution 2 Filter Pro (UK RRP £379) provides all the processing power and flexibility of theUltra Pro while presenting a streamlined user interface for use on stage. The E2 Filter Pro’s clean user interface provides front panel access to the multi-tap and filter options as well as onboard access to the all-new Pigtronix pitch shifter algorithms.
Users can also employ the additional PXE2-R Echolution Remote (UK RRP £59.99) on both pedals to switch instantly between presets or access jump and freeze effects. The range is available in the UK through JHS.
