Korg launching tweaked B1 digital piano

Ronnie Dungan • MMR Global • November 20, 2015

Korg is introducing a new, more streamlined version of its B1 digital piano.

The B1’s built-in speaker system is equipped with MFB (Motional Feedback) technology,an active servo system that controls the movement of the speaker cone, allowing low frequencies to be reproduced with minimal distortion. In use, the movement (velocity) of the speaker cone (vibrational surface) is detected, and a signal that compensates for the mechanical response of the speaker and speaker chamber is returned to the amp (feedback).

MFB allows the system to achieve better frequency response, and permits the low-frequency range to be reproduced more accurately; any colouration of the sound caused by the speaker enclosure is immediately corrected.

Built-in stereo sound system with MFB Servo technology.
