New names back Rotosound brand

Ronnie Dungan • MMR Global • November 25, 2015

Rotosound has added to its list of endorsees with British bands Inglorious, Nothing But Thieves and The Cribs.

Newly signed Inglorious are a five-piece headed by vocalist Nathan James (Jeff Scott Soto, Uli Jon Roth, Steve Vai and TSO) who make music in a style reminiscent of great British bands such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake and Bad Company. The band members use a variety of Rotosound strings: the very British Rotos electric guitar strings R10’s and RH10’s, JK11’s for acoustic guitar and Swing Bass RS66LD for bass guitar.

Nothing But Thieves recently had Radio 1 pick their single Itch as the Hottest Record & Track Of The Day and invited the band to make two appearances in the Live Lounge. They have become one of the busiest bands in the UK currently with a sold out tour and a spot supporting Muse at the Rock In Roma gig. Philip Blake, the bands bass player chooses to use Rotosound’s classic Swing Bass 66 in 45, 65, 80 and 110 gauges.

The Cribs are a cult three-piece indie rock band sometimes categorised as lo-fi. They had huge success when they added guitarist Johnny Marr (who has since departed) to their line-up.

On their first real tour of the UK since For All My Sisters album the new endorsees used Rotosound’s RH10 Blues 6 String Electric guitar strings and the industry standard RS66LD Swing Bass.

The new endorsees join a roster that includes Billy Sheehan, Duff McKagan, Doug Wimbish, Guthrie Govan, Geddy Lee, Florence & The Machine, Mikey Demus, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, and in the past Jon Entwistle, Jimi Hendrix and many, many more.
