Aguilar makes BIMM London commitment

Ronnie Dungan • MMR Global • February 19, 2016

Bass specialist Aguilar has teamed up with UK music college BIMM London, to equip it with a range of its amps, cabs and effects.

Working in conjunction with BIMM’s deputy head of estates and facilities, Steve Moulin, and under the authority of college principal nad professional bass player Julia Ruzicka, the musical education space is now fully equipped with a wide selection of Aguilar amps, cabinets and effects.

Alex Mew, Barnes & Mullins’ associate director of marketing commented: “The importance of contemporary music colleges must never be underestimated. Facilities such as BIMM are arguably largely responsible for the incredibly diverse and ever more technically proficient songwriting and production techniques so prevalent in today’s music industry. As so many highly talented and dedicated young musicians study in these institutions, it is essential to ensure they have access to high quality, professional equipment. So with this aim in mind, we are delighted to have assisted in the creation of this Aguilar Amplification performance and tutoring environment.”

Working alongside music colleges and the performing arts has long been tradition with Aguilar in the US with a large number of establishments – from East Coast to West – equipped with its professional bass gear. BIMM and Aguilar, in partnership with Barnes & Mullins, plan to hold a number of bass clinics and technical events at the college over the coming months and years.
