Double boost for London music shows

Ronnie Dungan • MMR Global • May 12, 2016

Future’s newly acquired Blaze Publishing music events have been boosted by the addition of some key performers.

Stuart Ryan will be performing at the London Acoustic Show 2016 (10th-11th September, Olympia).  He has become regarded as one of the UK’s finest fingerstyle concert guitarists and composers for the instrument. Named as Guitarist Magazine’s Acoustic Guitarist of the Year in 2002 he soon came to the attention of Martin Taylor who described him as ‘One of the finest of his generation’ and invited him to perform at his Kirkmichael Guitar Festival.

Extensive concert work soon followed and it wasn’t long before he had played at some of the UK’s most prestigious venues from The Purcell Room at London’s Southbank to The Sage in Gateshead. In addition to countless shows at Arts Centres and clubs across the UK, international engagements have seen him play in Italy, Ireland, Austria and Germany with more overseas trips planned for the future.

Meanwhile, Jamie Morrison, drummer in the Stereophonics and founding member of The Noisettes, will be performing in association with Natal Drums on the main stage of the London Drum show 2016.

In 2012 Jamie became the fourth drummer of Stereophonics. His first featured album Keep The Village Alive was released in September 2015, and topped the UK Albums Chart, becoming the band’s first to do so since Pull the Pin (2007).

The show, sponsored by Drummer magazine, is returning to Olympia on 12th-13th November 2016.
