SOMM readies for dealer awards

The Society Of Music Merchants (SOMM), is hosting the European Musical Instrument Dealer Awards (EMIDA) on the opening day of Musikmesse on Wednesday, April 5th.

The EMIDA will honour of the top European music retailers, who will be recognised in four different categories (including a special award) with an award and prize money of €5,000.

Daniel Knöll, managing director of SOMM, commented: “It’s far too rare that these players are the focus of the musical instrument business. They are the link to the customer and they sell all products with passion, lifeblood and great professional knowhow. They deserve respect and we bow down to them.”

The Awards are presented in four categories: Special engagement to sharing music;  Best unique selling point; Best store concept and the Lifetime Achievement award.
