Supro finds Magick touch with new amp head

JHS has added another to the growing Supro amp range, launching the Supro Black Magick head.
The Supro Black Magick Head (1695TH £1,299 RRP) features the tone and circuitry of the Black Magick combo in a compact all-tube head format. This 25W, high-gain blues machine pairs with the Supro Black Magick 1×12, 1×15, Statesman 2×12 extension cabinets or vintage 4×12 cab.
The amp’s traditional, cathode-biased “Class-A” power section uses 6973 tubes to achieve mid-range grind. It features a range of tones from warm cleans to heavy distortion through simple volume adjustment.
The preamp found in the Black Magick features two channels wired in parallel, with independent volume controls and a single, shared tone control. The vintage-correct front-end topology of the original 1959 Supro combos has been streamlined in the Black Magick, with automatic linking of channels 1&2 when using only the first input jack. It provides double the gain when used with one instrument and allows for two instruments to share the same Black Magick or for the use of an A/B/Y box to achieve channel-switching on the fly.
