A new portable and connected guitar invention is aiming to crowdfund its way to market this autumn.
Jammy is a portable, extendable, guitar device with direct audio output that allows it to stream music straight into earphones or amp, with no smartphone or tablet needed. Designed to be played like a regular guitar, players fret on the top part of the neck and strum the strings on the bottom half. Because it has only five frets you change the octave by pulling the neck in and out left and right. Onboard presets provide a number of unique guitar sounds — from classical nylon strings to heavily distorted metal tones.
A mobile app enables players to play songs with responsive tabs or improvise to the backing tracks in different genres.
Variable pickguards may be attached to Jammy’s right end in different colours and materials. There are two plastic and deluxe wooden samples.
