Inspired by Apple’s “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” adverts from the late 00s, capo specialist G7th, has created a new marketing campaign featuring two “Capo Sapiens” characters who engage in banter to highlight the benefits of the Performance 2 capo and the problems caused by simple, non-adjustable spring capos.
The series of adverts will run on Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms to drive guitarists into stores to make the upgrade.
“We wanted something that was fun and would make people laugh, but we also wanted to make the point that a capo with control over the tension, like the Performance 2, is SO much better than a simple spring capo,” said Nick Campling, G7th Designer and chairman.
