Mick’s Picks UKE-1 and UKE-2 Picks

hoff • Accessories • June 17, 2013

Mick’s Picks’ UKE-1 and UKE-2 products use a proprietary Flex-Tex material, which is a strong, composite felt-like material that is flexible and far more comfortable playing than traditional hard felt picks. All of the company’s picks are offered in a standard shape as well as the new larger-sized pick series known as the TRIAD series. TRIAD picks feature three different tip shapes on a single pick — standard, sharp, and a modified lazy radius.

Mick’s is a division of Concept-Logic, LLC and offers composite material picks featuring two different surfaces (smooth or textured) on one pick. Composite styles include Dimpled Schmiddy, Blue Screamin’ Jean, and Orin. In addition to the UKE products, the company also offers a thick, green, flexible bass pick known as the SPINK. Retail price: $3.40 per pack (standard picks come three to a pack and TRIAD’s come 2 per pack).
