Latin Percussion (LP) is celebrating 50 years of making the finest percussion with the reintroduction of the first set of bongos produced by LP. A replica of the set first crafted by LP founder Martin Cohen in 1964, each set of Original Bongos (LP1964) is a faithful recreation of the satin mahogany drums, complete with original 1964 head graphics, natural rawhide heads, and special commemorative badge. The company’s new 50^th Anniversary congas and bongos are made with beautiful North American hickory. All 50^th Anniversary drums are fitted with natural rawhide heads, gold hardware, Comfort Curve® II rims and exclusive 50^th Anniversary badges. LP 50^th Anniversary drums are available in 11” Quinto (MSRP: $969.00), 11 ¾” Conga (MSRP: $979.00) and 12 ½” Tumbadora (MSRP: $999.00). LP 50^th Anniversary bongos (MSRP: $519) are fitted with 7 ¼” and 8 5/8” heads.

The limited edition gold Black Beauty cowbell produces bright sounds with moderate overtones and features a gold powder-coated bell constructed from the same steel as traditional Black Beauties.
