Hal Leonard MGB has announced the promotion of Tom Venvell to the position of sales director.
In this expanded role, Venvell will oversee all aspects of the company’s sales operations throughout the UK and rest of Europe.
As a graduate of Bristol University with a degree in law, he joined the Hal Leonard-De Haske company group in 2011 and became a member of the UK sales team. In 2015 he was promoted to Trade Sales & Marketing Manager – Europe, at Hal Leonard MGB.
Venvell has played an increasingly active role in contributing to the company’s sales and marketing strategy in Europe which has led to an expansion of its trade distribution, the successful launch of European retail racking programs, new sales channels and a significant increase in the sales of Hal Leonard publications throughout all territories. His expanded role will build on this and include direct responsibility for all sales and marketing related functions.
Mark Mumford, Hal Leonard’s managing director for Europe, said, “Tom is a dedicated sales professional who has a proven track record in successfully developing our sales organisation and delivering results. We are thrilled to see him progress into our senior European management team and look forward to the wider contributions that he will now make.”
Venvell will continue to be based in Hal Leonard’s London office, working closely with the Company’s sales and distribution teams at locations in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland and Italy, as well as connecting with Hal Leonard’s sales operations in the US, Australia and elsewhere in the world.
With both parents as music teachers, he is also a musician with a rich and diverse musical background, participating in a variety of musical activities as a French horn player, singer, and drummer.
