Matthew Rudin has joined Yamaha Corporation of America as drums marketing manager for the company’s drum & percussion department. He reports directly to Steven Fisher, director, Drum & Percussion department, Yamaha.

“Matt brings to our team a wealth of marketing experience paired with extensive knowledge and passion for drums,” said Fisher. “Having Matt onboard positions us to strengthen our marketing efforts, to encourage drummers everywhere to share our passion and to connect with their audiences through our products.”

Before joining Yamaha, Rudin led the marketing and creative direction as well as branding for Accuride International Inc., a manufacturer of commercial-grade drawer slides, linear track systems and electronic locking solutions for cabinetry in commercial, residential and industrial applications. Before that, Rudin served as a creative director for Panasonic Avionics Corporation, a company that designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and installs customized in-flight entertainment and communications solutions to airlines worldwide. Additionally, since 2009, Rudin has served as the Vice Chair of the Allied Arts Board in Huntington Beach, California.

“As a long-time drummer, music lover and marketing professional, it is an absolute honor to join this talented Yamaha team,” said Rudin. “The future is very exciting for both our innovative electronic and acoustic drum lines and I am excited to get the opportunity to share these products with our enthusiastic fans and new musicians alike.”

Rudin earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and his MBA at the University of California, Irvine.
