The D’Addario Woodwinds product and engineering team hosted a successful two-day facility tour for approximately 50 dealers, customers, and members of the press during NAMM last week in Anaheim, California.
The visit was a chance for visitors to learn about the skill and craft that goes into the manufacturing of Rico, Reserve, and Select Jazz Reeds and Mouthpieces. Visitors were guided through the 50,000 square-foot facility by members of D’Addario Woodwinds quality control musician team, including Grammy-Award winner and manager of product development, research and quality, Kevin Garren. D’Addario Woodwinds product manager Kristen McKeon and senior product specialist Josh Redman were also on hand to provide information and answer questions on new product launches and their team’s 2018 initiatives.
In addition to the educational opportunity, visitors were treated to refreshments as well as a performance by D’Addario Woodwinds artist Kirsten Edkins Quartet. The quartet were later joined by Kevin Garren on saxophone.
