D’Addario Adds Govan to Artist Roster

D’Addario has announced the signing of virtuoso guitarist Guthrie Govan to the D’Addario Artist Roster.

Govan, over the years, has worked with a variety of bands, including, Asia, GPS, The Young Punx, Steven Wilson, and Hans Zimmer. Currently, he is touring, writing and recording with The Aristocrats, an instrumental rock-fusion trio which also features Bryan Beller on bass and Marco Minnemann on drums.

“My recent discovery of D’Addario’s NYXL range was something of a revelation: in addition to sounding and feeling really good, these strings also seem to require less ‘stretching in’ than anything I’ve tried before, which definitely contributes towards greater consistency in terms of intonation,” says Govan. “Oh, and for bonus points: the NYXLs would also appear to be virtually indestructible: I think anyone who shares my fondness for extreme string bends will find this highly beneficial!”

Govan currently uses the NYXL 10-46 strings.
