macProVideo.com and Neumann Announce SongCraft Remix Contest

hoff • Supplier Scene • July 10, 2013

Premium audio brand Neumann announced that it has partnered with macProVideo.com (MPV) in support of MPV's 4th SongCraft Remix Contest. The contest challenges entrants to remix an exclusive track entitled 'K(no)w" by Erin McKeown and Ben Sollee, providing a chance to win a Neumann TLM 102 large diaphragm condenser microphone valued at $699 plus a one-year subscription to macProVideo.com.

'K(no)w" was written and produced from start to finish in the new MPV video tutorial, SongCraft: Songwriting with Erin McKeown and Ben Sollee. In the video, the two singer songwriters meet for the first time and are tasked with composing a song from start to finish in a single day. The finished article, which was produced in New York City's Dubway Studios, was recording using an extensive assortment of Neumann microphones, including the TLM 102.

The contest is free of charge and open to participants anywhere in the world. By visiting and registering at the contest website, entrants can download track stems for remixing via SoundCloud. Final mixes must be uploaded to the SoundCloud submissions box no later than midnight PST, July 31st 2013, and contest winners will be announced on the MPV site shortly thereafter. Visit the contest website for instructions and regulations.
