Yamaha To Reprise ‘All-Star Concert on the Grand’ Extravaganza at 2019 NAMM Show

Christian Wissmuller • Upfront • November 29, 2018

Having enthralled its dealers for more than 20 years with the biggest NAMM concert experiences imaginable, Yamaha is once again bringing its legendary multimedia production to all show attendees during the 2019 NAMM Show, to be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, January 24-27.

The world’s largest musical instrument manufacturer promises an unforgettable multimedia, multi-artist extravaganza with the “Yamaha All-Star Concert on the Grand 2019” set to crank up the volume on Friday, January 25 beginning at 6 p.m. on the Yamaha Grand Plaza Stage.

“We’re aiming to top last year’s experience with a star-studded lineup that matches the enormous crowd expected to attend,”said Chris Gero, the four-time Emmy Award winning producer of the concert, and the founder and vice president of Yamaha Entertainment Group (YEG). “Last year we experimented for the first time with opening up this event to all NAMM attendees, and it was a smashing success. This concert will be the centerpiece of the NAMM weekend; a true can’t-miss experience.”

While the artist lineup for this year’s concert remains a secret, Yamaha has built an unmatched reputation for developing and producing the largest and most energetic concert events at past NAMM Shows. Last year’s concert featured star turns by celebrated artists Melissa Etheridge, Sam Moore, Michael McDonald, Butch Walker, Lindsey Stirling, Marc Broussard and Sheléa. Pastdealer concerts have included such artist luminaries as Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett, John Legend, Earth, Wind & Fire, U2 founder and drummer Larry Mullen, Jr., and many others.

In addition to bringing some of the biggest names in music to the stage for January’s All-Star Concert on the Grand 2019, Yamaha will power the entire plaza with the company’s award-winning commercial audio gear, including the Rivage PM10 Digital Mixing System and NEXO line array speakers.

YEG manages the endorsements for more than 3,000 artists and musicians around the globe and has earned an impressive 27 Emmy Award nominations for their work in film and music production.
