NEW POLL: How do sales compare with last year?

A simple enough question for this week’s poll, as we’re just past the mid-point of the year, we asked how sales have been so far?

One of the most frustrating things about the MI market is the lack of hard data about sales and market trends, making true and accurate analysis of the market extremely difficult. Individual businesses know how they’re doing but they are reluctant to get involved in any data sharing scheme because they feel it might compromise their business. Unlike in nearly every other retail industry you can think of, where there is regular chart information and industry statistics.

So, let’s at least get a notion of how we’re doing this year and tap the barometer by asking whether sales are up, down or about the same as last year.
