New trio from Odyssey

Ronnie Dungan • MMR Global • November 6, 2015

Brass and woodwind brand Odyssey, has added three new models introduced to the Symphonique range.

All designed by Peter Pollard, the OFL7500 Wood Body C Flute Outfit (RRP £1,999) is made from grenadilla wood, this has the same sustain and carrying power of a silver flute, making it suitable not just for solo or chamber music but also a modern symphony orchestra. It has silver-plated keys and mechanism, with a split E and offset G, high quality pads and springs. Precision-crafted tone holes of inset grenadilla allow wider sized holes like those of metal flutes, contributing to it’s warm, natural sound, accurate intonation and tonal clarity.  It comes with a leatherette covered hard shell case, with padded carry bag.

The OPC3500 Wood Body Piccolo Outfit (RRP £499) specification includes C key, quality pads and springs, silver-plated keywork and solid wooden body. It comes with a leatherette covered, hard shell case with padded carry bag and includes a cleaning rod and cloth.

Completing the new additions to the Odyssey Symphonique range, the OSS3700 (RRP £629) has a distressed, brushed and lacquered brass body, with quality Italian pads and springs and also features a BG-L51 Tradition Ligature. It comes with premium quality case with a host of accessories including gloves, cork grease, cleaning cloth and neck sling. Comes with a mouthpiece, cap and Vandoren reed.
