Korg USA Hires Orlando as Staff Accountant

Christian Wissmuller • People • April 15, 2021

Korg USA continues to strengthen its internal operations, most recently with the hiring of Michael Orlando as Staff Accountant. Joining the team at Korg’s corporate headquarters in Melville, New York; Orlando is responsible for preparing monthly financials for the newly acquired Aguilar Musical Instruments LLC (AMI) as well as handling accounting for Korg USA.

Orlando joins Korg from KPMG LLP, where he served as Audit Associate for two years. In this role, he performed audits from planning to completion, across various industries, including education, non-profit, software, and telecommunications. He also mentored newly hired Audit Associates to help them transition into their roles and develop as professionals. Orlando previously interned at KPMG while attending Stony Brook University, where he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Minor in Accounting. He continued his studies at Stony Brook, earning his Master’s in Accounting in May 2019 and graduating with a 3.9 GPA.

In his new role as Staff Accountant at Korg, Orlando awaits his official licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), having met all requirements and passing all four CPA exams. He brings extensive knowledge of financial reporting and related programs, tools, and software, as well as a strong desire to learn. Additionally, Orlando joins Korg as a musician who enjoys playing keyboards.

Korg USA welcomes Michael Orlando and looks forward to his contributions, both in streamlining the finances of AMI and adding depth of talent to Korg’s finance team.
