The National Association of School Music Dealers, Inc. has sent out a letter from member Robin Walenta, who has shared a GoFundMe page for her ill sister, Virginia.
The note reads: “As you know, I had to leave the NAMM Show for a family medical emergency. My sister Virginia Walenta suffered a hemorrhagic stroke due to a bleed from a ruptured aneurysm while vacationing in the Dominican Republic. She had surgery on Monday but remains in a medically induced coma and is still in danger. We are attempting to get her on a medical air transport back to the USA and have started a Go Fund Me campaign to assist with the extremely high costs associated with this transport. Every donation will help us reach our fundraising goal. It would be great if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word to as many people as possible. Thanks for your continued concerned and much need prayers.”
