Peavey Electronics Shows Support for U.S. Champ DJ Throdown

Earlier this month at Temple Denver, DJ Throdown made history by becoming just the second DJ in the competition’s 34-year history to win consecutive U.S. titles. Peavey Electronics has extended its congratulations DJ Throdown on an outstanding achievement and looks forward to their future collaborations.

DJ Throdown achieved his second U.S. title at the September 8 USA Championship after a panel of former DJ Champions awarded the high scores that put him ahead of a large group of regional finalists.

“I’m still stunned,” DJ Throdown reflected after his repeat victory. “When I fell in love with turntables at 17 years old, no one could’ve ever convinced me that I’d be holding two consecutive U.S. titles one day.”

Less than a month before the USA Championship, and at Peavey’s invitation, DJ Throdown entertained DJ Expo 2019 attendees with the latest in Peavey loudspeaker technology. He performed multiple times at the nation’s premier DJ convention in Atlantic City, including on the DJ Expo Main Stage, Eden’s Lounge in Harrah’s Resort, and Peavey’s booth on the exhibition floor. During these performances, DJ Throdown relied on Peavey’s  PVXp 10 DSP 10-inch powered speakers, which feature a reliable bi-amped power section that provides a total of 510 Watts of peak available dynamic power. With that much available power, speaker protection is critical, and Peavey delivers with advanced digital signal compression that prevents audible overload, protecting the speakers from harmful distortion at high-output levels.

“This path I’ve chosen has brought me to all different parts of the globe, allowed me to turn my role models into my peers and given me a platform to make a positive little difference in the world the only way I know how,” DJ Throdown expressed. “All the OGs inspired me so much as a little kid to take up the craft myself, and now it’s my time to give back to the culture that raised me and hopefully inspire some of the next generation of tablists to keep this art form alive and well.
