Radial Engineering Launches ‘Radial on Record’ Podcast

Christian Wissmuller • Supplier Scene • December 3, 2020

Radial Engineering has launched “Radial on Record,” a monthly music industry podcast series featuring interviews with many of Radial’s highest-profile artists. Hosted by Radial’s artist relations manager, Jim Rhodes, the podcast series kicked off this month featuring an interview with singer/songwriter Jason Mraz. The podcast interview with Mraz is now live on Radial’s YouTube channel.

“Radial’s artist roster includes many of the world’s biggest recording and performing artists,” said Rhodes. “We’re talking about artists like Jason Mraz, Shawn Mendes, Tony Levin, Nathan East, James Taylor, Kirk Hammett, and Jordan Rudess to name a few. Each month on the podcast, I’ll talk with a different Radial artist about their career, work, life, and, of course, the Radial gear they use.”

Rhodes’ interview with Mraz finds the Grammy-award winning artist discussing a wide range of topics, from the current state of the touring industry, to his Southern California Mraz Family Farms’ premium coffee line. Mraz also talks about his newest recording projects and use of Radial’s Acoustic Series interfaces and the new HDI high-definition studio DI.

“While we’ll certainly talk about an artist’s use of Radial gear, we also want to get behind the scenes into their processes and interests,” says Rhodes. “For example, in our recent interview, Jason shares his longstanding passion for social causes, including the Black Lives Matter movement. He talks about his motivation for donating the entire $250,000 advance for his latest record, ‘Look for the Good,’ to groups working for racial equality and justice.”

The Radial on Record podcast interviews are available on Radial’s YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as on the company’s website. Listeners can subscribe to the monthly series on Radial’s YouTube channel.
