Vintage® Guitars has organized a sell-out 2-day show held over Friday 9th & Saturday December 2022 at The Glyn y Weddw Arms in Llanbedrog, Pwllheli in North Wales, donating Vintage guitars valued over £1500 and raising over £1000 for Guitars For Veterans Wales.

As a non-profitable organisation hosted by the Friends of the Royal British Legion Band of Wales, G4V provides relief to struggling veterans suffering with PTSD through the healing power of music and community.

English singer-actress Michele Breeze, former International Star of the World Hit Musical EVITA, performed her ‘In Concert’ performance over the two evenings, captivating the audience with a stunning theatrical set with her unique presentation of songs from popular musicals that included Boudicca, Les Misérables, Cats and a host of classic rock tracks. The Highlight of her show was a full onstage costume change into the finale of her One Woman Musical Drama about the life of Elizabeth 1st.

It was amazing to see Michele back on stage and to meet up with blues historian Paul Brett and Managing Director of Vintage Guitars Paul Smith, who have done so much to support us, said G4V Chairman, Tim Sturges, who gratefully accepted two donated Vintage Statesboro’ acoustic guitars which were raffled as prizes. These acoustic guitars were designed by Paul Brett himself, who added, “I’m honoured that G4V veterans are getting so much pleasure from the Statesboro’ acoustic guitars, music is indeed, a healer.”

Also donated to G4V for veterans to use was a Vintage VSA500 semi-acoustic guitar and a one-off Vintage ProShop Unique electric, based on a V59 model from the popular Vintage Icon Series, this exquisite guitar features the G4V logo, inlaid amid the authentically aged guitar body and hardware applied by the Vintage ProShop team of skilled luthiers.

Tim Sturges continued, I like to say sincere thanks to all that attended the performances, including the staff of the Glyn y Weddw Arms and especially proprietor Martin Cook. I was completely overwhelmed by the level of support for our military veteran’s charity.

“On behalf of Vintage Guitars, we’d like to say a big thank you to all who attended and supported this worthwhile event, said Vintage MD Paul Smith, we look forward to working more with Guitars For Veterans in the future.”
