Michael Flores has joined the Fender (FMIC) team in his role as PR & Communications Manager, Specialty. Michael will be leading all strategy for the brands and will be a main point of contact for Jackson and Gretsch.
Flores is a publicity and content specialist with experience leading strategies for consumer product, gaming, and corporate communications. Michael comes from The Walt Disney Company where he first supported PR for Star Wars consumer products before transitioning into the Disney Parks division where he oversaw publicity tied to CSR efforts for Walt Disney World and other international parks.
Flores is a Los Angeles native and received his bachelor’s degree in English and Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University — his debut screenplay based on his best-selling book will come right after he figures out what the plot of his best-selling book will be. Michael grew up playing music and was involved in orchestra, jazz band, and marching band throughout middle and high school. During his 3rd grade Career Day presentation, Michael let the class know that he aspired to be the piano player at Nordstrom because he thought it was the coolest job in the world.
At Fender, Michael will lead PR & Communications for the Jackson and Gretsch brands.
