Here, he began to play heavily in the Dallas/Fort Worth scene, and hit the road playing everything from Jazz, Rock, Hip-hop, Fusion, R&B, and Big Band.

Pruitt’s musical endeavors have led him to share the stage and studio with some of the finest artists in the world including: Cornell Dupree, Bobby Sparks, Snarky Puppy, Eddie Gomez, Jeff Lorber, Jimmy Haslip, Yotam Silberstein, Guthrie Govan, Champian Fulton, Mike Moreno, Bruce Forman, Champian Fulton, Bernard Wright, Mark Lettieri, Blue Lou Marini, Guthrie Govan, Youngjoo Song, Oz Noy and many others.

As an educator, Steve has presented many clinics at Universities around the globe. He was an artist-in-residence at Utah State University and a professor of jazz drumset at the University of North Texas.

Pruitt’s dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to musical excellence align seamlessly with Sonor Drums’ renowned reputation for its commitment to innovation and quality. Sonor’s Artist Relations Manager Henry Go reflects, “Steven is a talented and wonderful human being, and we are honored to have him join the Sonor family.”
