Trade Regrets: Martin König

Christian Wissmuller • Trade Regrets • February 9, 2023

Martin König passed away on January 4 2023. His father, Karl, partnered with Erich Meyer in 1949 to create a wholesale business in which their first products were music stands. Soon the Germany-based company grew to not only supply music accessories created by other companies, they began producing their own products such as microphone stands as early as 1951. After Karl passed away in 1968, his son Martin took over the company and soon thereafter built a second factory and later a large warehouse for the expanding business. Under Martin’s leadership Konig & Meyer (K&M) has continued to establish relationships throughout the industry to increase the quality of its products and to serve its customers in the ever-changing marketplace.
