The UK Guitar Show takes place at Olympia this weekend (29th-30th September) and Takamine is sponsoring the Acoustic Guitarist of the Year Award. 
The show will feature not only a Main Stage for live performances but a series of different attractions. Among them, the Vintage Zone; the Gear Hall where new stuff can be tried out and purchased at special show prices; the Workshop Room where experts share tips and secrets on everything from how to be a better rhythm guitarist, to expanding your blues vocabulary – and the Guitar Garage where set-up and repair journeymen offer advice on care and feeding and a free guitar check-up and tweak.
On Saturday the 29th the main stage will feature some of the world’s greatest amateur guitarists showcasing their skills in pursuit of the coveted Guitarist of the Year honours to be determined by a panel of star judges and industry experts.
The Acoustic Guitarist of the Year will be chosen from four finalists and awarded a Takamine EF340S-TT, a model specifically designed with the vintage traditionalist in mind. It features a solid American mahogany back and sides, solid, pre-aged spruce Thermal Top and Takamine’s Palathetic pickup and TLD-2 line driver preamp.
