DR String’s distributor Barnes & Mullins has announced the launch of a one day promotional event in participation with eight selected UK retailers.
The event – taking place on Saturday 25th June – offers guitarists the chance to have their acoustic guitars fitting with DR Veritas acoustic strings for free.
Funded by DR Strings and Barnes & Mullins, the event is designed to encourage customers to visit participating stores for a free set of fitted DR Veritas acoustic strings with a view to increasing custom on what can naturally be a quieter period for retailers in the height of summer.
The DR Summer String Swap benefits retailers and customers in equal measure by presenting a chance for guitarists to treat their guitars to some TLC with a free set of fitted strings worth £10.95, while allowing retailers the chance to showcase and sell other products during the event.
Phosphor Bronze strings boast DR’s patented Accurate Core Technology (ACT), designed to strengthen and perfect any variations of the core wire for improved pitch and longevity. They are specially engineered to last up to four times longer than conventional uncoated acoustic strings.
For Barnes & Mullins it is the first event of its kind in promoting the American handmade string brand in the UK since acquiring the distribution earlier this year.
