China’s first key audio show of the year, Prolight + Sound Guangzhou, is almost upon us, taking place from 29th February to 3rd March.
The fair will occupy all 13 halls (130,000 sqm) of Area A in the China Import & Export Fair Complex to showcase 1,230 exhibitors presenting more than 1,500 brands from 25 countries and regions (2015: 1,186 exhibitors).
Commenting on the upcoming show, Judy Cheung, deputy general manager for Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) said: “I am delighted to see more exhibitors joining this year and there is a growing number of brands’ direct participation at the show. This reflects the importance of the show and the Chinese market to the global pro audio and lighting industry. I wish them all profitable experiences at Prolight + Sound Guangzhou.”
There will be specific product zones for conference systems, public address, headphones, microphones, pro audio and accessories, as well as the signature Audio Brand Name Halls, Pro Audio Halls, Lighting Halls, KTV Hall and Enping Microphone Halls are formed to provide an effective business platform for exhibitors and visitors alike.
In addition to the expo, there will be a series of interactive and educational fringe programmes with information on the industry’s development and technology advancement.
One of the highlights is the Recording Art and Technology Forum which invites reputed pro audio engineers from China to provide insights into cutting-edge technology and application of surround sound recording and other audio technology development. Another featured event is the new PLSG Annual Training Session – Acoustic Master Class hosted by Audio Engineering. Industry experts will share their knowledge in the application of acoustic and sound systems in venue and theatre.
Prolight + Sound Guangzhou’s organisers also work closely with The German Entertainment Technology Association (VPLT) and invited industry experts to share expertise with industry peers. Speakers and topics include:
