Following the succes of its black Shorty bass, Hofner has launched a white version.
Originally produced in the 1980s, the contemporary HCT release is designed for bassists who frequently travel with their instrument. It offers a full scale 30” length with the benefit of small body dimensions to allow for easy transportation in the specially designed gigbag.
Consisting of a basswood body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets, the HCT Shorty bass features a humbucker pickup and volume and tone controls. The full scale length and Hofner humbucker mean that despite its unique small scale appearance, the Shorty can be used by gigging bass players.
It is now available for the first time in the UK for £159 from Barnes and Mullins’ sales team and online portal –http://www.bandm.co.uk
