Hofner has announced the release of two new Ignition bass guitars in the UK.
Available through exclusive UK distributors Barnes & Mullins, the new affordable Ignition basses comprise of the Black Club and Sunburst ‘Cavern’ Violin models.
Hofner’s Ignition series have been designed to offer players the authentic Hofner experience and sound at a more affordable price than their handmade German models and Contemporary ranges. Both new Ignition basses have fully hollow bodies and feature Spruce tops and Flamed Maple back and sides with a high-gloss finish. They are fitted with Hofner’s famous control panel and 70’s-style Ignition Staple Nickel pickups for an authentic Hofner sound. The iconic ‘Cavern’ Violin model features closely spaced pickups, as used on the original 1961 Cavern bass.
Both basses are extremely lightweight and designed to be comfortable to play due to their hollow body construction, shorter 30”/76cm scale lengths, 42mm nut widths and rosewood fingerboards.
