JHS has moved into the low-end DJ market with the launch of its iDance Partybox systems.
The XD2 iDance Partybox (£54.99 RRP) is an all-in-one DJ style system featuring Bluetooth connectivity and a 2.1 stereo speaker system. Use an MP3 player, users can mix DJ filter effects, crossfade between input sources, and the front panel display performs a disco light show synchronised to the music. You can also plug in a guitar or microphone to sing or play along with music. A built in FM radio with autoscan feature gives access to all the latest music and it boasts 100 watts of output. https://youtu.be/71MNqnlcgKc
Even more powerful, the XD3BK iDance Partybox (£119 RRP) gives 200 watts output through its dual woofer speaker system. Again, Bluetooth continuous pairing makes it possible to use an MP3 player or smart phone, and includes FM radio with autoscan. Two large jog wheels allow the user to control DJ effects such as delay and filter, with the built-in mixer providing crossfade control, and synchronised sound-to-lighting effects on the front panel. A USB port gives MP3 playback with ID3 and you can also record WAV files direct to USB. Once again, you can connect a guitar or microphone, use voice changing effects and an auxiliary input gives more options.
Lastly, the XD100BK iDance Partybox (£149 RRP) is a wireless sound system with added bonus of being able to run from a standard car AC outlet or batteries (not included). Its 100 watt, two way bass reflex system uses a large air vent to give even more bottom end, and the Bluetooth audio streaming system has folder search functions, and play/next function that allows you to search for another song whilst one song is already playing via MP3 or USB. A customised, easy-to-read LCD display also gives a readout on battery life, and you can also use a guitar and/or up to two microphones and add echo effects. A built-in FM radio has memory stations for easy access and its sturdy aluminium carry handle for easy transportation.
